About Camila

Hi! I’m Camila, a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker currently living and studying in Australia. I have a degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Counseling, and I’m currently studying Community Services.

I’m a friendly, patient and easy-going person, and I really enjoy communication and meeting people from different backgrounds. I believe learning a language should feel comfortable and practical, rather than stressful or overly formal.

As a Brazilian, I can also help you understand the natural way Portuguese is spoken in everyday life, including expressions, pronunciation and aspects of Brazilian culture. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already know some Portuguese, I’ll do my best to make you feel comfortable and confident using the language.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, practical and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I like to focus on conversation and help students become more comfortable speaking Brazilian Portuguese naturally.

Depending on the student’s needs, we can work on pronunciation, vocabulary, everyday expressions and common situations, as well as grammar when needed. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and create a comfortable environment where they can ask questions and learn from their mistakes.

Lessons are usually around 50–60 minutes, and I can work with beginners as well as students who already have some knowledge of Portuguese. My lessons are suitable for adults who want to learn Brazilian Portuguese for travel, everyday communication, relationships, work or simply personal interest.

I am a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and a Psychology graduate, with additional training in Counselling. My background has helped me develop strong communication and listening skills, which I bring into my lessons.

Camila is a really great Portuguese teacher! She’s very good with grammar and has such a nice pronunciation. She's also familiar with different Portuguese accents, which is really helpful for people like me who love pronunciation.
