Hello, and welcome to my page. My name is Bruce, and I am a professional Chinese tutor with 15 years of experience helping learners from around the world reach their goals in Mandarin. Over this time, I have taught students of different ages, backgrounds, and levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers preparing for exams and work.

Hi! I am a friendly and patient Chinese tutor who loves helping learners feel confident speaking Chinese in real life. In my lessons, you will talk a lot, make mistakes safely, and improve faster than you expect. • I teach practical Mandarin for everyday life, travel, and making friends. • I can explain things clearly in English when you need it, and then guide you back into Chinese. • I focus on speaking and listening first, while also helping you with pinyin, tones, vocabulary, and simple grammar in a natural way. My lessons are: • Personalized – At the first lesson, we talk about your goals (travel, HSK exam, work, or just for fun) and your current level, then I design a plan just for you. • Relaxed but structured – We use clear lesson steps, but the atmosphere is friendly, so you never feel judged or rushed. • Interactive – We use real conversations, role‑plays (restaurant, airport, dating, work meetings), pictures, and short texts instead of boring memorization. I can help you with: • Complete beginners starting from “ni hao” and learning tones correctly from day one. • HSK 1–4: exam strategies, targeted vocabulary, speaking practice, and mock tests. • Conversation practice for intermediate learners who want to sound more natural and understand native speakers better.
