About Yantong

你好! I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker with clear and standard pronunciation. I am from Shantou, China, it is the city in Guangdong province. I am currently living and working in the UK after completing my postgraduate degree in University of Leeds.

I’m offering friendly and relaxed Chinese lessons for anyone who would like to learn Mandarin — whether you’re a complete beginner, already know some Chinese, or simply want to become more confident speaking in everyday situations.

I love travelling and meeting new people.
I’m always genuinely happy to see people who are interested in learning Chinese and getting to know more about Chinese culture, and I’d love to help make the learning process enjoyable and practical!

About the lesson

Each lesson will be carefully prepared and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals.

As a language learner myself, I understand how important pronunciation is when learning a new language. I pay close attention to pronunciation and will do my best to help you build confidence in speaking Chinese naturally and clearly.

I’m also good at Chinese handwriting, and if you’re interested, I’d be happy to teach you how to write Chinese characters. (Pen/Pencil)

I’m patient and positive, and I’m always happy to explain things in different ways if something is difficult. I want my lessons to be relaxed so you can feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as you learn！
