About Laura

I’m Laura, a native Colombian Spanish speaker and Psychology graduate who is passionate about helping others learn to communicate naturally and confidently. My background in psychology allows me to understand different learning styles and create a supportive, motivating environment where students feel comfortable making progress. I love sharing my language and culture in a way that feels practical, friendly, and tailored to each person’s goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your fluency, I’m here to guide you with patience, clarity, and genuine enthusiasm for your success.

About the lesson

I teach Spanish through a practical, conversational, and student-centred approach, focusing on real communication rather than memorisation. I combine structured lessons with natural conversation practice, helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding everyday Spanish. My methodology includes pronunciation work, guided dialogues, vocabulary building, and personalised exercises based on each student’s goals and learning style.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I also offer 30-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on the student’s needs. Each class includes a warm-up conversation, a focused learning activity (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or reading), and a short practice segment to reinforce what we covered.
I am a native Colombian Spanish speaker and a Psychology graduate, which allows me to understand how people learn, adapt my teaching style to different personalities, and create a comfortable, motivating environment. My professional background in communication-focused roles has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and guide students through natural, structured conversations.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students, including adults, teenagers, and professionals who want to improve their Spanish for travel, work, or personal interest. Whether you want to start from zero or refine your fluency, I tailor each session to your level and goals.
