About Andres
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, but I have lived in very different places, and I really enjoy traveling and getting to know new cultures and ways of life. I have been teaching Spanish as a second language to kids, teenagers and adults from all around the world for three years. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and study Philosophy at Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), with emphasis on philosophy of language and Logics. Currently, I'm also learning programming at CS50 (Harvard online program), fitness and nutrition principles, guitar, and singing, and I'm in love with learning new things and sharing knowledge with others. I am very organized with the lessons and I always intend to provide deep knowledge of Spanish, but also a pleasant and interesting experience. Vamos a aprender Español!

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I have known Andres for a very long time now, and if there's a special reason for the strong friendship and mutual understanding we share, I would say it's our fervent interest in literature, philosophy, and the arts. These subjects demand clarity, transparency, and eloquence, qualities we prioritize. It is because of this that our attention to the use of language(s) is particularly keen.
Andres, in particular, has shared many insights with me about resources we can apply to our learning to progress effectively, given his experience in teaching Spanish. He is an attentive listener who is always concerned about the needs of his students, proactively seeking the easiest ways to fulfill them.
I highly recommend taking his classes if you are looking to learn smartly and in a fun way, with a native teacher whose english domain is quite remarkable.I strongly recommend Andrés for people who have no idea about Spanish. He is a teacher with a broad and fluent English that helps make the learning experience with Spanish more suitable and clear. We meet twice a week, and in just 3/4 months, I can say that I communicate in a suitable and accurate way. Furthermore, the fact that he is a Colombian teacher in Argentina is very helpful, as he shows the differences in conjugations or slang that vary depending on the country and region. His classes are quite didactic and fun, making you hooked on learning more.
For a superb Spanish teacher who is a native speaker, I strongly recommend Andres!
If you are like me and begin by speaking NO Spanish, having an instructor who is fluent in English is important, and Andres is clearly bi-lingual, able to explain every nuance to help me clearly understand.
Andres has been teaching me twice weekly for a little over a year and is a gifted teacher. He is very thorough in his teaching, helping me to get the pronunciation just so and follows a structured path in teaching from A1, A2 and so on. And, he makes me aware of how different countries may use different words for the same thing which is fun - and useful! He is also very positive and supportive so I am never afraid to try to speak. I find I really look forward to my lessons!View more recommendations
