About Ben

I am a native speaker and have lived in Canada my whole life. I discovered my interest in helping others with English while trying to learn Russian. I understand the difficulty of learning a language. I have given up on trying to learn Russian although I often translate Russian text. I met people that inspired me to consider tutoring. I am just a high school graduate and have worked mostly menial jobs. I have a good knowledge of English grammar but I am not formally trained. I'm willing to learn more to help you and I'm very patient.

About the lesson

I find out what is important for the student. I think about how I am able to best assist them and whether I am able to sufficiently. The student and I should decide in advance of the class what the primary focus of the lesson(s) will be. I do not want to waste your time.

Details

I currently don't offer lessons at my home, but I may in the future. I offer lessons only by webcam. I offer that the student would make a partial payment of $5 before the first lesson, and pay the remainder afterwards if they are satisfied. I ask this simply so that I know the student is able to pay. Payment by PayPal is preferred. The website claims the free lesson offer is only a recommendation but I saw no way to disable the offer. Each lesson after the first should be paid fully in advance.
