About Isabel
I have worked as a journalist, ie writer/editor, on various newspapers and magazines in the UK, US and my native South Africa. After I turned 60, I ventured into teaching and have a TEFL certificate from an international school in Thailand. I have no intention of 'retiring' and would like to continue passing on my passion for language to interested students in the US.

My teaching method depends on the age group of the class; ie with young children I would follow the guidelines set out by their school. However, as someone who has mentored many young adults - both in a newsroom and language school center - my main concern is to keep the lessons lively, interesting and accessible to people from all around the world.
