About Victoria
I am a native English speaker that has been teaching Chinese students English listening and reading comprehension. I have been teaching for the past 3 years, all online due to timezone differences. I am a motivated teacher that loves to extend my love of reading to others!

Since I teach beginner English speakers and readers, I start with listening, which means a back and forth conversation. Once comfortable, I start to add in slang so that they feel confident when they listen to other English conversations. For reading, I start with books like Thea Stilton or Diary of a wimpy kid because these are entertaining books that have easy to understand words and vocabulary. However, we can move to harder or easier books if needed. I believe in a cultural approach meaning that instead of learning academically, you learn about American culture while learning to understand English.
