About Thomas
Thanks for reading my advert - I am a highly qualified and experienced English Teacher, born and raised in London. I love teaching English and make sure all my students have fun learning English!
I have worked both privately and in English Language Schools in London and across the world. I have a Cambridge University accredited qualification in teaching English, as well as an Honours Degree in Creative Writing. I have an extremely high success rate with all my students.

I teach both one-to-one classes and group classes. Classes can be conversational or course based.
I cover the following areas:
>General Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking
>Pronunciation (accent)
>Business English (including CV preparation, and writing emails/letters/websites/blogs)
>Exam Preparation (IELTS, FCE, CAE, University entrance, Visa applications)
>Academic Assistance (writing essays/dissertations, preparing verbal presentations/seminars)
>Conversational Practice and Everyday Speech.
I also work as a proofreader and copyeditor in the following areas:
>Academic English (dissertations, theses, essays, journals, presentations, seminars; including referencing and indexing)
>Legal/Corporate English (contracts, including referencing and indexing; client communication)
>Formatting (e.g. APA, MLA, OSCOLA, Chicago, etc.)
I teach from my home on Goodge Street, but I can also travel within Zone 1/2. I am happy to meet at the student’s home, or else in quiet spaces, such as libraries or community centres. I am based just around the corner from UCL, the British Museum, Birkbeck, and the British Library.
