About Sohaib

I am a non-native English speaker and senior commercial leader with 18+ years of international business experience across 14 countries — giving me a uniquely practical perspective on Business English that goes far beyond what a traditional language teacher can offer.

Throughout my career I have communicated at the highest levels of international business.

At Honeywell UOP I led enterprise sales negotiations, delivered board-level presentations and managed complex stakeholder relationships across Europe, Africa and the Former Soviet Union — navigating cultural differences and language nuances in every interaction. I have written investor-ready business proposals that secured £450k in funding, presented commercial strategies to C-suite executives and negotiated multi-million dollar contracts entirely in English.

I understand the challenges faced by non-native English speakers in professional environments — the anxiety before a big presentation, the uncertainty about email tone, the struggle to sound confident and authoritative in meetings. I have worked alongside brilliant professionals from dozens of countries who faced exactly these challenges, and I know what makes the difference between good and exceptional professional English.

I hold a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, and am trained in Miller Heiman Strategic Selling and Richardson Consultative Selling — methodologies built entirely around high-impact professional communication.

My Business English sessions are practical, immersive and immediately applicable to your professional life. Every lesson is tailored to your specific workplace challenges, industry and career goals — not generic textbook exercises.

I have spent 18+ years communicating at the highest levels of international business — presenting to C-suite executives, negotiating complex contracts, writing investor-ready proposals and leading cross-cultural teams across 14 countries. I bring this real-world experience directly into every lesson.

What we cover in sessions:
- Professional Email Writing: Learn to write clear, concise and impactful emails that get results. Master formal and informal register, tone, structure and professional etiquette across different cultures.

- Presentations and Public Speaking: Develop the confidence and language skills to present your ideas compellingly to colleagues, clients and senior leadership. Learn how to structure arguments, use persuasive language and handle questions confidently.

- Meetings and Negotiations: Master the vocabulary, phrases and communication strategies needed to participate effectively in meetings, lead discussions and negotiate successfully in an English speaking environment.

- Business Writing: Develop skills in report writing, proposals, business cases and professional correspondence. Learn how to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively in written form.

- Networking and Professional Communication: Build confidence in professional social situations — networking events, client dinners, conference calls and casual workplace conversations.
