Methodology
I am passionate about sharing language because I believe it helps us to create a more connected, empathetic, and beautiful world! That's why I majored in 2 foreign languages in undergrad: French and Arabic. I believe that each student knows the type of English that they need to learn; my job is to respond to student needs. I can create lessons focused on conversational fluency, on professional terminology, on reading and written expression, or on the basic interactions of daily life depending upon the needs of each student. The most important thing that I bring to the table is a desire to build a foundation of comfort and trust with my students so that they know they can take risks with their English and reap the rewards while growing in their confidence in the language!
Background
I have tutored students in English for over three years, from classrooms of elementary schoolers in the US to high schoolers in France, to refugees and immigrants looking to learn the basics and improve their English to a professional grade. With 1-on-1 and group experience, I am able to assess learner needs and create custom lesson plans for each tutoring session. I hold a TEFL certificate from the internationally-recognized CIEE TEFL certification course, and have taught children as young as 3 all the way up to adults.
