While I have been teaching English for a number of years, I am constantly learning to improve the way I teach by listening & being open to my students’ needs. I understand that learning a new language can have its challenges. The 1st thing I do with my students is talk to them as if we’ve been friends for a long time. I find this very effective in making people feel relaxed & more willing to learn. I start with a simple speaking or vocabulary exercise before looking at the topic of the day. My students typically range from 19-45 years old from private one-on-one classes to company/business classes (groups) of all levels.
