About Laura
My approach to tutoring is student-focused, practical, and tailored to each individual’s goals. As a native French speaker who grew up between Switzerland and the UK, I understand both the academic side of learning French and how the language is used in real life. I aim to build confidence as well as accuracy, so students feel comfortable speaking, not just completing exercises.

In my lessons, I combine structured learning with interactive practice. This includes grammar explanations when needed, but also conversation, listening exercises, and real-world examples to make the language feel natural and relevant. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student - whether they prefer a more structured, exam-focused approach or a relaxed, conversational style.
I hold A-Level French and an advanced university-level proficiency in French, alongside my native fluency. This combination allows me to effectively support both academic students and those learning for personal or professional reasons.
My lessons are suitable for a wide range of learners, including school students, university students, and adults. I can help with exam preparation, improving speaking confidence, grammar, or general fluency, from beginner to advanced levels.
