About Sophie
A "Baroudeuse" Educator: From the French Alps to the Himalayas
I am a certified French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teacher with a passion for human connection. Originally from France, I have called India my home for 22 years. This dual identity allows me to offer a teaching experience that is culturally grounded and linguistically authentic.

Empowering your French journey with a Native perspective and Indian heart.
My teaching philosophy is simple: Language is a bridge, not a barrier. Having lived in Leh, Ladakh, for over two decades, I understand the specific challenges Indian learners face—from pronunciation nuances to grammatical shifts between Hindi/English and French.
My Techniques:
Active Pedagogy: No boring lectures. We use interactive tools, real-life scenarios, and "Active Recall" to ensure you remember what you learn.
Psychology-Based Approach: Using my certification in Child & Adolescent Psychology ANU university, I build a safe space where making mistakes is encouraged as a vital part of learning.
Cultural Bridging: I explain French concepts using local references that make sense to you, making the learning process 2x faster.

The "Check-in": A 5-minute oral warm-up to switch your brain into "French mode."
