About Nelly

Bonjour! My name is Nelly and French is my native language. I have lived in the UK for the past 30 years and I am bi-lingual.
I work as a French teacher in a primary school and plan and deliver a wide range of enjoyable, fun and dynamic lessons.
In addition, I support students in the preparation of their French GCSE and ensure that all my lessons are interactive and engaging. They are carefully prepared and tailored to individual abilities and needs.
I am also working as a Teaching Assistant in KS2/KS1, supporting children with their English, Reading, Phonics and Maths.
I have a fully enhanced DBS certificate and offer both online or face to face sessions from KS2 to GCSE and also provide 1:1 adult practice conversation.

About the lesson

My lessons are one hour long. As a native French speaker and experienced tutor, I will be able to identify the students' needs and goals and figure out the best way to achieve them together so that they can fulfil their full potential.
Also, I will seek to improve their confidence and understanding of the language in order to prepare them for both their speaking and written work/exams.
I have a flexible, friendly approach and maintain an open dialogue about learning progress. I can either focus on areas of improvement and gaps or follow the curriculum and provide support with weekly lessons.
I also provide a free first lesson to give you the opportunity to get to know me. The first lesson will be a comprehensive assessment of the student's abilities and an open discussion about their goals and aims.
