About Rayane

Hi! I’m Rayane, a native French speaker from France, now based in Melbourne. I hold a Master’s degree in Communication from CELSA – Sorbonne University and have a background in Philosophy.

I have experience teaching French to learners of different ages, backgrounds, and levels, both one-on-one and in small groups. I particularly enjoy helping students move beyond simply “learning French” and start feeling genuinely comfortable using it — whether that means having a conversation, travelling in France, preparing for an exam, or connecting with French-speaking people.

My lessons are fully personalised to your level, goals, and interests. Depending on what you need, we might work on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, writing, vocabulary, or listening, always with a strong focus on practical, real-life French.

As someone who has studied, worked, and travelled internationally, I also love bringing culture and real-world context into my lessons. I want my students to understand not only what French people say, but how and why they say it.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced learner, my goal is to make French feel accessible, interesting, and genuinely useful — while helping you build the confidence to use it in real life.

About the lesson

PRIVATE FRENCH LESSONS WITH A NATIVE FRENCH SPEAKER — MELBOURNE & ONLINE

Want to learn French in a way that feels natural, practical, and genuinely useful?

I'm a native French speaker from France with a Master's degree in Corporate Communication from CELSA – Sorbonne University, and I offer personalised 1:1 French lessons for adults, teenagers, and children of all levels.

Whether you're starting from scratch, preparing for a trip to France, studying French at school or university, or simply want to finally feel confident speaking French, I'll adapt every lesson to your level, goals and interests.

What we can work on

️ Conversation & speaking confidence — learn to express yourself naturally in real-life situations

️ French for travel — cafés, restaurants, hotels, transport, meeting people and navigating everyday life in France

Grammar & vocabulary — explained clearly and in context, without unnecessary textbook exercises

Listening & pronunciation — understand native speakers and sound more natural

Professional French — communication, presentations, meetings and workplace vocabulary

School & university French — homework, exams, assignments and general support

French culture & everyday life — expressions, etiquette, humour and the things you won't necessarily find in a textbook

My approach

I don't believe that learning French should mean spending an hour filling in grammar exercises.

My lessons combine conversation, structured learning and real-life French, with materials and activities adapted specifically to you.

As a native French speaker who has lived, studied, and worked internationally, I can also help you understand the cultural side of the language — not just what is grammatically correct, but how French is actually spoken and used.

Whether you're a complete beginner or already speak French, we'll build from where you are.

Lessons

• 1:1 private lessons
• $70/hour
• Melbourne-based or online
• All levels welcome
• Adults, teenagers & children
• Flexible weekday and weekend availability

If you're not sure what level you're at or what kind of lessons would suit you, that's absolutely fine.

Send me a message with your current level, what you'd like to achieve, and your preferred days/times, and we'll work out the best approach for you.
