Through my work at home and in France, I have learned how to break down information and make it accessible to different school grade-levels.
I first like to get a sense of where the student is going, it this for a test, personal goal etc.
Once we've established the goal, break it down into the main components (areas or main topics to be covered) and work on a time-table from the get-go.
For conversational French, knowing what the student's interests are and gearing the lessons in that direction so they are dealing with a familiar topic.
Conversely, I am happy to cover topics that are new and unfamiliar.
Helping friends & family learn French formally and informally for the past 20 years.
Happy to follow a set class structure or schedule dictated by the student's syllabus or to teach more casually through the basics and conversational French depending on the desired outcome (preparing a trip, brushing up for a class, sheer joy of the language).
