About Megan

Hello, I'm Megan. I'm half French, half Irish, and I grew up in Bretagne, France, so I'm fluent in both languages. I achieved a top grade (H1) in the leaving cert for French. My approach to teaching focuses on making lessons enjoyable while helping students improve their skills and boost their scores.

About the lesson

I teach French for all levels. I will tailor my lesson to your curriculum and level. We will focus on the areas that need the most work. I will come with prepared notes. I have experience with adult beginner learners and secondary school students.

I love the tradition of long dinners, as well as the food and the art.

It is part of my heritage and allows me to communicate with my family.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?
Pronunciation can be difficult and can affect a student’s confidence. I help my students improve it, but I also encourage them not to worry about being perfect at first.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.
I understand how a fear of making mistakes can affect language learning. I also found it difficult to put the Spanish I had learned into practice because I was worried about getting it wrong. In the end, I was always glad that I tried to communicate.
How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?
Travelling around Spain really helped me improve my Spanish because it forced me to use the language in everyday situations.
What makes you a Superprof in language?
I genuinely care about each of my students’ learning goals and want to help them achieve them. I think learning a new language while teaching one allows me to relate to my students better and understand the challenges they face.
