About Virginie

Hi I am Virginie, I grew up in Northern France, close to England and, from a young age, I have been exposed to both English and French languages. I have studied to be a French teacher and started teaching in France in 2007. Then I studied to teach French as a foreign language and taught in Africa and in India for some time. For the past 8 years, I have been living in South India as a volunteer for an NGO, I am doing a lot of translation English to French.

I am a very patient, flexible and enthusiastic teacher and I would love to share my skills with whoever needs them, whether it is for work, for traveling or just for the sake of learning. I feel comfortable with all kind of audience.

Don't hesitate to try it out with a first lesson, we can meet each other and maybe start this exciting journey together!

About the lesson

My approach is flexibility and adaptation to the student. We'll first make a plan together according to your expectations and your motivations in taking French classes. I am ready to adjust to the method you like better, whether we speak only in French or start with English and slowly move into more and more French. I like to alternate between written and oral exercises, some people are more comfortable in learning from hearing, others from writing and reading. I am ready to go into some more technical points if needed but I'll always try to make sure the student is enjoying the learning and stays enthusiastic!
