About Fatima

I am a native French speaker with a strong academic background in law, having studied at the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and University College London. I am currently preparing for the SQE in London while working as an in-house legal counsel, which reflects my discipline, organisation, and professionalism.

Alongside my academic and professional experience, I have taught French on a voluntary basis in Peru, working with students from different backgrounds and levels. This experience allowed me to develop a patient, adaptable, and encouraging teaching style.

Being trilingual (French, English, and Spanish), I understand the challenges of learning a new language and can explain concepts clearly to non-native speakers. I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident in their progress.

I take my teaching seriously and always aim to provide well-structured, reliable, and personalised lessons tailored to each student’s goals.

About the lesson

My approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. As a native French speaker with a strong academic background, I focus on building solid foundations in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, while making lessons engaging and practical.

I usually base my lessons on a structured programme using recognised learning materials, which I adapt to the student’s level and pace. Each session combines:
- Grammar explanations and exercises
- Speaking practice to build confidence
- Listening and reading comprehension
- Real-life conversation scenarios

I also place particular emphasis on pronunciation and fluency, helping students feel comfortable speaking French from an early stage.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can adapt depending on the student’s needs. Lessons are usually organised as follows:
- Review of previous material (10–15 minutes)
- Introduction of new concepts (20–25 minutes)
- Practice through exercises and conversation (20–25 minutes)

I can also provide optional homework for students who wish to progress more quickly.

I am a native French speaker and a graduate of leading universities including the Sorbonne and UCL. I have also had experience teaching French on a voluntary basis in Peru, working with students from different backgrounds and levels. This experience helped me develop patience, adaptability, and clear communication skills.
