About Anny

3 years as a French Monitor with the Yukon Ministry of Education) and French procedures Court Reporter with the Ministry of Justice.
10 yrs as Admin Support at the SMUS Learning Resource Centre, Reception and French Tutor (all grades incl. AP French prep).
Summer Instructor (French and Photography) at the Esquimalt Rec Center (adults and kids) for ten years.
I am passionate about learning, about visual language, about excellence and solid foundations.
Before academics come sounds!
Once sounds are mastered, enhanced vocabulary is added, proper grammar built, and great writing follows as a result of getting great tools.
All too often, teachers overwhelm students with academia.
My aim is to capture a child's attention, to meet them in their interests but in another language! Sprinkling in solid French methods, even corrections and synonyms without judgment without the child noticing this is a lesson is my favourite thing to do! It fosters language curiosity, according to their age and language level. When someone builds great sentences, you respond alike with whatever tools you've got, the conversation flows, and you will want to learn more vocabulary. I am using this approach with homework, too, to make language and topics come alive. This is where I am here for you.

About the lesson

Are you still saying "bon-joa" instead of "bonjour"? Then you need to follow my language protocol!
At any age, proper foundations start with sounds.
Whether you need to ease Kindergarten French immersion anxiety, build better pronunciation, excellent grades, understand assignments properly, prep AP or IB French exams, or just want to string a French sentence together, I am here to help.
Experienced with high level business French, if your professional goals are to boost your language skills or score high in federal government language tests, I am here for you too!
1st lesson (free - 30 minutes): goal settings/introductions.
Oh -Did I mention I was here for you?
Think of me as your "French relative" and come make crêpes with me while learning the language! Or show me your homework and enter a world of anecdotes to take away performance anxiety.
Talk soon.
