About Mutuala
I'm from Germany and I studied Business, Languages & Marketing in the Netherlands and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the UK. Whilst being a student I tutored German, French and English in my spare time for students at a Dutch secondary school.
I currently work for a self-publishing print-on-demand company in the UK, where I communicate with Dutch, German, French, English and Spanish customers on a daily basis
One of my key roles at work is translating web content, templates and software descriptions.

I grew up in a multilingual family and I'm very passionate about languages. I enjoy speaking and teaching them in fun and interactive ways. Using my language skills at work reignited my passion to teach others.
One of my favourite teaching methods involves music because our brains seem to remember language easier when it is used with rhythm. It encourages active listening, memorizing of words and the lyrics to a song can teach you a range of vocabulary (...and let's face it, who can forget a catchy song?)
Another method I have found to be effective (particularly through personal experience) is reading Autobiographies. Autobiographies are very personal stories that are relatable which makes it more engaging. Reading at least one page every day helps with expressive speaking and writing.
My lesson structure depends on the level of the language you want learn.

Mutuala is punctual, organised and a very attentive person from what I could see in her sessions. She's been tutoring my son French and the progression every week is better than I could have imagined, and I've even spoken to her about teaching him German soon when she thinks he's ready to take on yet another language. She is also quite a talented person who speaks 7 different languages, which always amazes me!
