About Sara

I am a native German linguist, university lecturer, and licensed examiner for German as a Foreign Language (A1–C2 I GER) with extensive international teaching experience.

Following my first studies in General Linguistics, German Philology, and Romance Philology/Spanish (MA) in Cologne and Seville, I completed further degrees in Psychology (HD) and Criminology (PGD) in Ireland.

I worked with an international clientele, including officials from the European Commission, diplomats from the Department of Foreign Affairs, and employees from Lidl, Volkswagen (VW), and Zalando, located in Ireland. In Germany, I have held freelance positions at Heinrich Heine University and the Goethe Institute in Düsseldorf, among others.
Based on my various licenses and authorisations, I teach a variety of programs, including courses with prisoners.

Additionally, I have completed advanced training in “Systemic Coaching and Change Management” (DBVC) and work as an academic mentor. Given my international experience, I place strong emphasis on intercultural sensitivity, individualized support, and practical, application-oriented learning.

About the lesson

My lessons and exam preparation are guided by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) while also taking individual learning needs into account. I combine communicative methods with a systematic approach to language and cultural sensitivity. Each lesson is practical and well-structured, integrating speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. I use authentic materials—such as current texts and audio samples—alongside tailor-made exercises that focus on grammar, vocabulary, and expressive language. Through interactive tasks, role-playing dialogues, and targeted feedback, I foster not only linguistic accuracy but also confidence in spontaneous communication, ranging from small talk to professional discussions.
