About Claire
I’m from Austria and lived there for 25 years before moving to Ireland about 2.5 years ago. I work as a UX Designer, but outside of work I live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, currently attempting to grow my own vegetables, with mixed results, accompanied by two very good dogs, one of whom is almost always asleep on my lap. I’m a firm believer that most problems can be solved with a good cup of tea, a book, and a square (or slab) of chocolate. Personal best: 45 chocolate sinkers in one day. Still proud. Still not sorry. One of my dreams is to own chickens, all named after Charlie and the Chocolate Factory characters, because who wouldn’t want a moody little hen called Augustus Gloop? Another is to get my pilot’s license. I once dreamed of becoming a commercial pilot, but being too short grounded that plan. Maybe one day I’ll take my feathery crew for a spin instead.

As a native German speaker and qualified UX Designer, I emphasize structured learning and an engaging approach. I teach all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced learners, for personal, academic, or professional purposes.
