About Márton Ibolya

I am a native Hungarian speaker, educator and Hungarian–Italian philologist with around 30 years of continuous teaching experience. I currently teach self-awareness astrology and Thai massage alongside my language-related professional activities, working with both individuals and groups, in person and online. For more than 20 years, I have taught astrology, which has given me extensive experience in adapting my teaching to different personalities, ages and learning styles.

I have always enjoyed teaching because I love seeing the moment when something becomes clear to a student. I am patient, attentive and curious about the person I am teaching, and I believe that a good teacher does not simply pass on information but helps the learner discover their own way of understanding and using it.

My academic and professional background includes Hungarian and Italian studies, literary research, translation, proofreading and editing. I have a deep interest in language, culture and the subtle meanings behind words.

I would be delighted to share my native language and Hungarian culture with people who are traveling to Hungary, have Hungarian family roots, have a Hungarian partner or simply want to discover this fascinating language. I also enjoy working with children and young learners and adapting the lessons to their age and interests.

About the lesson

I offer personalized online Hungarian lessons for adults, teenagers and children, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. I have been teaching continuously for around 30 years, including more than 20 years of individual and group teaching in astrology.

My approach is practical, supportive and adapted to each student's needs, interests and pace. I don't believe that learning a language should be limited to memorizing grammar and vocabulary. We can use Hungarian in real-life situations and talk about topics that are meaningful to you.

Depending on your goals, lessons can focus on travel, everyday communication, Hungarian family and heritage, culture and traditions, food, cooking and baking, gardening, shopping, restaurants, home and family life, or simply conversation.

For children, I adapt the pace, activities and lesson length to their age and attention span, making the lessons varied and engaging. For adults, I can provide structured learning as well as relaxed conversation practice.

My aim is to help you feel comfortable and confident using Hungarian in real life, while discovering the language and culture along the way.
