About Jared
I’m a native Indonesian speaker and an experienced language teacher who’s been working with learners from different backgrounds for years. Because I teach languages *and* learn them myself, I understand exactly what students struggle with—and how to guide them in a way that feels clear, supportive, and actually effective. I know the feeling of being both a teacher and a learner, so my approach is always practical, human, and learner-friendly. I also study linguistics and pedagogy, which helps me break down the Indonesian language in a way that makes sense, even for complete beginners. My English skills are solid, so I can explain concepts simply and naturally without overcomplicating things. In short: I’m here to help you learn real Indonesian the smart way—built on experience, understanding, and a deep love for languages.

I offer Indonesian lessons designed for overseas learners who want to speak naturally, confidently, and the way real Indonesians actually talk. With years of experience teaching languages and working with international people, I focus on making Indonesian easy to understand and fun to use.
My classes use the ESA method (Engage–Study–Activate). We start with engaging content like stories, pictures, or short videos to build context. In the Study phase, we explore vocabulary and sentence patterns through real examples—no grammar memorization. Then we move to Activate, where you practice through conversation, roleplay, and interactive activities.
This is NOT textbook Indonesian that makes you sound stiff or robotic. I teach real-life Indonesian—the kind people actually use in Jakarta and other major cities. Everyday expressions, natural phrases, and communication skills that make Indonesians feel comfortable talking and becoming friends with you.
Lessons are fully in Indonesian with simple English support when needed. I use visuals, TPR, and context-based explanations so you understand meaning naturally without constant translation.
