About Anna

My name is Anna Cotter. I recently completed the Leaving Certificate and I received 100% in my higher level Lc Irish exam. The Irish Language plays a significant role in my daily life. I am part of the Irish residency scheme in Trinity, we speak Irish amongst each other daily. I attended an all-Irish primary school and I was awarded an Irish-speaking scholarship to spend my transition year in the Aran Islands. These experiences gave me a grá and passion for the language and it inspired me to share my love for our native language to others.

About the lesson

I am a fluent Irish speaker. I was awarded an Irish speaking scholarship on the Aran Islands to improve and enhance my level of Irish.
My classes are suitable for all levels, from Primary school to 6th years.
My lessons last 1 hour and are taught predominantly through Irish. In the first class, I will assess each student's level and adjust my plan accordingly. I will ensure that all students will develop confidence in speaking and writing Irish.
I will focus on prescribed texts, poems, the layout and structure of the paper and I will stress the importance of the Irish oral, which is worth 40% to all leaving cert students.

I struggled a lot with grammar and the oral in higher level Irish and when I started grinds with Anna she helped me so much. She is excellent at explaining the grammar and all of my grinds with Anna were through Irish so by the time it got to my oral it was a breeze!
