I am an international student pursuing an undergraduate degree at SFU. My journey with academics has always been about resilience and organized work while under pressure.

More about me?

Beyond my academics, I am also a high-level swimmer. I have been competing for over 14 years and sports taught me that success is defined by 20% strategy and 80% mindset. I help students build their mental muscle necessary to stay calm and focused during exams and high-stress situations.

I take my role as a mentor seriously. I am organized, punctual, and dedicated to creating a structured environment where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes. My goal is to be the reliable partner you need to navigate the challenges of Italian culture and learning, ensuring we achieve consistent, measurable results together. My methodology is built on the belief that language mastery is often due to lack of confidence, not just concepts. I ensure my students don't simply gasp through material, but instead understand the underlying why behind them, all while acting as a supportive mentorship partner.

About the lesson

As a native speaker born and raised in Italy, I will teach you how Italians speak, think and live.

We will focus on conversation from day 1 tailored to your goals:
For Travelers: We focus on the basics like ordering at a trattoria, navigating trains, and cultural etiquette.
For Students (Academic): grammar, sentence structures, verbs, and so on.
For Hobbyists: we can range from simple discussion to more specific topics based on your preferences.

A typical lesson follows this structured flow:
- Check-in: chiacchere (chatting) for warm up.
- Mastering concept: we will address your necessities and dive into grammar or vocabulary
- Scenario practicing: real-life situations
- Wrap up: cultural insights/chatting.

What sets me apart?

What distinguishes me is my focus on mentorship and human interaction. I help my students perform at their best while navigating the high-pressure real-life situations. Beyond the rest, I incorporate confidence and pressure-handling techniques that I mastered during my career as a high-level athlete. I teach my students how to stay calm during exams and treat challenges as opportunities for growth.
