About Noriko

Hello, my name is Noriko. I am a native Japanese speaker living in Japan.

I have more than five years of experience teaching mathematics online to primary and secondary school students in one-to-one lessons. I enjoy helping students discover where they are struggling and supporting them patiently, step by step, until they feel confident.

I am also a mother of three children. My eldest daughter is currently studying in France, so I understand how challenging and sometimes stressful it can be to study, live, and communicate in another language.

I decided to teach Japanese because I would like to help people feel more comfortable and confident in their daily life, studies, and work in Japan. I aim to create a friendly and relaxed environment where you can make mistakes, ask questions, and learn at your own pace.

I am truly happy that many people in Malaysia are interested in Japan, the Japanese language, and Japanese content. I also have great respect for everyone who is working hard to learn Japanese. That is one of the reasons why I would love to support you and help you use Japanese with greater confidence in real life.

About the lesson

☆　After each lesson, I will share notes summarising what we learned and practised during the class.

☆　These notes will become your own personalised Japanese learning material, created according to your goals and lesson content. You can use them to review the lesson and gradually build your Japanese skills with confidence.

My lessons focus on practical Japanese that you can use in everyday life, school and work in Japan.

Rather than strictly following a textbook, I create lessons based on your goals, level and the situations in which you need Japanese. We will practise useful expressions through real-life examples, role-plays and conversation.

My lessons are especially suitable for beginners and elementary-level learners, including people who live in Japan, plan to move to Japan, work in Japan or have children attending Japanese schools.

You can practise Japanese for shopping, hospitals, public offices, trains, buses, restaurants, appointments and everyday communication. I can also help you become more confident with Japanese numbers, including prices, time, dates, quantities, counters and units.

I have more than five years of experience teaching mathematics online to primary and secondary school students. This experience has taught me how to identify exactly where a student is struggling and explain difficult points clearly, patiently and step by step.

I can also support children who need help understanding Japanese used at school, including teachers’ instructions, textbook vocabulary, maths terminology and word problems. Mathematics support is available up to junior high school level.

My lessons are mainly conducted in clear and simple Japanese, with simple English support when necessary. Please note that I do not speak Malay.

Mistakes are always welcome. We will learn at your pace and build practical Japanese skills that you can use with confidence.
