About Ellie
I was born and raised in Korea and have lived in the United States since my sophomore year of high school. I am confident teaching Korean, from basic vocabulary and grammar to natural expressions used in everyday conversations.
As a college student, I want to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where students can practice Korean as if they were talking with a friend. I have helped a Korean American friend improve his grammar, speaking, and vocabulary, and he was placed into a higher-level Korean class after taking a placement exam at his college.
I hope to make learning Korean feel less intimidating and help students become more comfortable and confident using the language.

Korean
I explain Korean vocabulary by comparing it with similar English words and expressions to make it easier to understand and remember. Lessons also include speaking and pronunciation practice so students can become more comfortable using Korean in real conversations.
As a college student, I understand how important it is to learn in a comfortable, supportive environment. I'll make lessons friendly, easy to follow, and less intimidating so students feel confident practicing Korean.
