About Yeyoung

I am a native Korean speaker from South Korea and am currently studying the Master of Actuarial Practice at Macquarie University in Sydney.

My background in Business Administration and Statistics has helped me develop a structured and organized approach to teaching. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and creating lessons that are tailored to each student's learning style and goals.

In addition to teaching Korean, I have over three years of experience teaching English as both an instructor and a private tutor. Through this experience, I have developed strong skills in lesson planning, creating personalized learning materials, and helping students build confidence step by step.

As someone who has also studied languages and lived in different countries, I understand both the excitement and the challenges of learning a new language. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while improving their Korean with confidence.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Yeyoung, a native Korean speaker currently based in Sydney, Australia. I offer personalized Korean lessons for beginner and intermediate learners who want to build confidence using Korean in real-life situations.

I believe the best way to learn a language is to first build a solid foundation and then apply it through meaningful communication. That's why my lessons are designed to balance grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking, rather than focusing on just one skill.

Each 1-hour lesson is divided into two parts:

• Part 1 – Build Your Foundation: Learn or review grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and pronunciation through structured activities.

• Part 2 – Put Korean into Practice: Apply what you've learned through speaking or listening activities tailored to your goals, such as everyday conversations, travel situations, K-pop or K-drama content, and more.

Your first lesson are completely free! This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, assess your current level, discuss your learning goals, and make sure my teaching style is the right fit for you before committing to regular lessons.

Every lesson is personalized to match your learning goals, pace, and interests. Whether you're learning Korean for travel, university, work, TOPIK, or simply because you enjoy Korean culture, I'll adapt the lessons to suit your needs.

I have over 3 years of teaching experience as an English instructor and private tutor, where I planned lessons, created personalized learning materials, and helped students achieve their individual goals. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how to explain language concepts clearly and effectively.

Lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate learners of all ages. If you're completely new to Korean, don't worry—we'll start from the very beginning and progress step by step in a supportive and encouraging environment.
