About Jooyoung

Hello, my name is Jooyoung, and I am a native Korean teacher from Seoul with more than 14 years of teaching experience. Over the years, I have taught students from more than 20 different countries, ranging from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for TOPIK exams or professional careers in Korea. I hold a law degree as well as a TESOL certificate, and I also have professional experience as a producer in a leading Korean entertainment company. These qualifications allow me not only to teach Korean language effectively but also to share meaningful insights into Korean culture, daily life, and communication styles. About the lesson

I believe that learning a language should be both structured and enjoyable. My lessons combine clear grammar explanations, real-life practice, and interactive activities to help students feel confident using Korean in everyday situations. I often integrate K-dramas, K-pop lyrics, role-plays, and practical dialogues so students can connect with the language naturally while still mastering the foundations.

A typical lesson is 50 minutes, though I adjust the pace depending on each student’s needs. Beginners may focus on learning Hangul, basic greetings, and simple sentences, while intermediate and advanced learners practice conversation, cultural expressions, and exam preparation (TOPIK). For students aiming at professional or academic goals, I also provide business Korean, interview preparation, and academic writing support.

I hold a law degree from Sookmyung University and a TESOL certificate, and I have been teaching Korean for over 14 years to students from more than 20 countries. I also have industry experience working as a producer in a major Korean entertainment company, which allows me to share unique cultural insights alongside formal language instruction.

My lessons are suitable for teenagers, university students, professionals, and adult learners who want to learn Korean for study, work, travel, or simply to enjoy Korean culture more deeply.
