About Monica
I’m a bilingual Korean-English tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching both children and adults. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in science and began teaching after experiencing the challenges and rewards of learning English as a teenager myself.
Having lived in both Korea and the U.S. for equal parts of my life, I bring a deep understanding of both cultures to my teaching. My lessons are designed not just to help you speak Korean confidently, but to help you connect with Korean culture in a real and meaningful way.

I offer customized Korean lessons to suit your goals—whether you're learning for travel, work, K-pop, TOPIK preparation, or just personal enrichment.
My classes focus on:
* Real-life conversations and pronunciation practice
* Practical expressions used by native speakers
* Cultural insights, including trends, food, etiquette, and more
* Engaging tools like role-play, visual aids, and short videos
Available online. In-person lessons will be available starting July in the Mission Valley/ Carlsbad area (San Diego).
All levels welcome—from total beginners to intermediate learners
