About Yeon Ji
I am a native Korean speaker who has lived in New Zealand for over 25 years, fluent in Korean, English and Japanese.
After my career in the NZ Police, I decided to move into teaching as a way to share my language and support others in their learning journey.
I enjoy helping students gain confidence and seeing their progress over time. My goal is to make learning Korean clear, practical and enjoyable, while also giving insight into Korean culture.

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, level, and learning style. Whether you prefer structured learning, with clear progression or a more relaxed, conversation-based approach. I am flexible and happy to adapt.
In our first session, we will discuss what you'd like to focus on - such as speaking, listening, pronunciation, or understanding Korean culture - and build a lesson that suits you. I am open to feedback and will adjust as we go to make sure you're learning in a way that feels comfortable and effective.

Details
I am available to travel throughout the Tauranga and Papamoa areas. Lessons can be conducted at your home, at a mutually agreed location, or online depending on your preference.
A standard travel fee of $10 applies for most locations. However, this may vary depending on the distance, and I am happy to discuss and negotiate the travel cost once the meeting location is confirmed.
