About Isla

What do I do for now?
- I do have something I'm really passionate about in my professional career, and luckily, I am pursuing that - I work for one of the top 5 Australian Fintech Startups and mainly target business-technology side.

What is my background?
- Born and raised in China (so... not only an expert of Mandarin, but also of different dialects).
- Was in Canada for 5 years as I got into the top Canadian business school for my Bachelor's degree.
- Moved to Canberra for my Master's degree in Information System, but now I'm here in Sydney because I liked it, I 'get' it.

Why I am here to be a tutor?
- I used to tutor English for students who was preparing for their IELTS test. I saw their improvement, and I got the best feeling I had ever had back then.
- Then I became a volunteer who tutored Chinese for native English speaker at school. It was an amazing experience and I also made a lot of friends with different background.
- Now I have a bunch of free time after work, I wanna do something I truly enjoyed and good at. if I can also help people who want to know (more) about Chinese and my culture, it would be the best thing on earth.
- Back to the reality - money is bad bad thing.
