About Qiling

I’m a native Mandarin speaker with a background in design and research. I recently moved to the UK and enjoy connecting with people from different cultures through language.

My academic and design experience has trained me to listen carefully, understand individual needs, and communicate ideas clearly. I bring this into my teaching by creating a supportive and personalised learning experience for each student.

I speak clear, standard Mandarin with no strong accent, and I am known for being patient, gentle, and encouraging. I understand that learning a new language can feel challenging at times, so I aim to make lessons relaxed, structured, and enjoyable.

I’m reliable, well-organised, and genuinely care about helping my students build confidence and make steady progress.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is flexible and student-centred. With a background in design, I pay close attention to how each student learns and adapt my methods to suit their pace, goals, and interests.

I am a native Mandarin speaker with clear, standard pronunciation and a patient, encouraging teaching style. I combine conversation practice, pronunciation guidance, and practical vocabulary with simple structure and clear explanations. Lessons can also include customised materials based on your needs.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust the length if needed.

My lessons are suitable for beginners to advanced learners, as well as anyone who wants to improve their speaking confidence or everyday communication skills.
