About Mariana

I am a native Portuguese speaker with a strong passion for teaching and over 10 years of experience in language education. Teaching has always been a central part of my professional life, and I genuinely enjoy helping students gain confidence and independence in a new language.

I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, including professionals and foreign executives who needed Portuguese for work, relocation, or everyday life. Seeing students progress and feel comfortable communicating in real situations is what motivates me the most.

My goal as a tutor is to make learning Portuguese practical, engaging, and adapted to each student’s needs, creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to learn and make progress.

About the lesson

Teaching techniques & methodology
• My classes are designed according to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style. I use a communicative approach, focusing on real-life situations, practical vocabulary, and building confidence in speaking and understanding Portuguese from the very beginning.

Typical lesson length
• Lessons are typically 1 hour long, but this can be adjusted depending on the student’s availability, goals, and level.

Qualifications & tutoring experience
• I have over 10 years of experience as a language tutor. I worked as a Portuguese language coach for the company Masterline, supporting professionals in a corporate environment. As an English teacher, I have also worked in well-known and prestigious Brazilian language schools such as CNA, CCAA, and Brasas. This background allows me to bring structured, effective, and engaging methods into my Portuguese lessons.
