About Emiliia

Hi! I’m a native Russian speaker who grew up between Ukraine and France, and I’d love to help you on your Russian language journey. I speak Russian, Ukrainian, French, and English fluently, and I’m currently a student at Allegheny College. Having studied in both French and Ukrainian schools, I understand not just the language itself, but the culture and context behind it. My lessons are interactive and practical — we focus on speaking, understanding, and actually using Russian in real situations, not just memorizing grammar rules. I tailor each session to your level and personal goals, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your fluency. I also teach pronunciation, conversational Russian, and cultural nuances to help you sound natural and confident. I’d love to work with you!

About the lesson

As a tutor proficient in Ukrainian, French, Russian, and English, my approach is tailored to create an engaging and immersive learning experience.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
My teaching method is communicative and interactive, focusing on practical language skills. I incorporate real-life scenarios, multimedia resources, and cultural elements to make lessons dynamic and relevant. I emphasize the importance of conversational proficiency, grammar, and cultural nuances.

Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson is structured to balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises. Starting with a brief review, we then delve into targeted language skills, utilizing multimedia materials, and concluding with practical applications through discussions or projects. Homework assignments reinforce learning and promote self-study.

What Sets Me Apart:
My unique background of being born in Ukraine, living in France, and achieving proficiency in French (DALF all levels) positions me as a tutor with a rich cultural understanding. This enables me to provide linguistic nuances and cultural insights that go beyond textbooks. I am adaptable and empathetic, tailoring lessons to individual needs.

Who the Lessons Are For:
My tutoring services are designed for individuals of all levels and backgrounds. Whether you are a beginner looking to grasp the basics, an intermediate learner striving for fluency, or an advanced student aiming for mastery, I can customize lessons to meet your specific goals. Classes are open to anyone eager to explore the Ukrainian, French, Russian, or English language and culture.

In summary, my tutoring approach is student-centric, dynamic, and culturally enriched. I aspire to not only impart language skills but also foster a deep appreciation for the cultural contexts that shape language use.
