About Ana Isabel
With 15 years of experience, I have worked in language centers, in companies, at the Instituto Cervantes in Lyon and Athens, and I also give private lessons, both in groups and individually. I am passionate about inspiring my students to discover the language and culture of my country. I adapt to each student’s context, level, personality, and goals. My lessons are unique because each student or group is different. Most of my students aim to obtain the DELE certificate from Cervantes, but others simply want to learn the language for various reasons; I adapt and respect each motivation. Over the years, my students have achieved the results they hoped for, and I’m delighted by that!

Teaching Spanish has been my passion for 15 years. During this time, I’ve learned to adapt to different environments (three countries with different mentalities and learning styles).
Over the years, I’ve worked in academic settings (Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, Faculty of Languages), in language schools, with individual learners, at the Instituto Cervantes in Lyon and Athens, and as a freelance teacher for both groups and individuals.
It’s thanks to these diverse experiences across different countries that I’ve become a teacher focused on efficiency and results, offering dynamic and engaging lessons.
I firmly believe that knowledge sticks best when we believe in ourselves, when we repeat key concepts, and when we enjoy ourselves in class. I don’t believe boredom is a path to learning. My lessons are dynamic. I divide each session into several parts and save the “dessert” for last. The dessert should be the highlight — something enjoyable, fun, that leaves the student with a good taste in their mouth.
I’ve been in your shoes many times, which is why I know the language learning journey by heart.
I’ve developed my own method over years of experience, and I’ve seen that it works — I’ve tested it with very different students. I try to spark motivation in each learner, because a motivated student will study on their own at home, and everything will go faster and more smoothly. It’s very important to me to build the student’s confidence and help them understand that they’re capable of doing what I propose. I’ve seen that a lack of confidence can hinder language learning — but the opposite is also true. When you believe in yourself, you can do almost anything!
