About Ana Karina

Hi! I'm Ana Karina, a Cannes Lions award-winning creative professional, children's book author, comedian, and founder of Emma's Dream, a program that helps children discover their strengths and build confidence.

Originally from a Spanish-speaking background, I love sharing the Spanish language and culture with children through storytelling, humor, games, and creative play. With over 16 years of experience in advertising and storytelling, I know how to turn ideas into engaging experiences that capture children's attention and spark their imagination.

I've worked with children in schools and community settings and have experience supporting neurodivergent learners. I believe every child learns differently, and my goal is to create a warm, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, expressing themselves, and discovering what they can do.

My lessons are personalized, playful, and connected to real life. Whether your child is learning their first Spanish words or wants to become more confident speaking, I'll help them learn naturally while having fun.

As a Cannes Lions award-winning creative professional, children's book author, and founder of Emma's Dream, I make learning Spanish fun, engaging, and meaningful for children.

My teaching method: I use games, storytelling, role-play, conversation, and real-life scenarios to help children learn Spanish naturally. Instead of relying only on memorization, I encourage kids to speak, explore, ask questions, and build confidence through playful, hands-on activities.

A typical lesson: Each session is tailored to your child's age, level, interests, and learning style. We might start with a fun conversation or game, learn new vocabulary through stories and everyday situations, and practice speaking through role-play. We finish with a creative activity that reinforces what we've learned.

What sets me apart: My background in creative storytelling, comedy, and children's education helps me turn lessons into memorable experiences. I also have experience working with neurodivergent children and value a strengths-based approach that celebrates each child's unique abilities, interests, and pace of learning.

Who my lessons are for: I work best with young learners, especially children ages 4–10, from complete beginners to children who already understand some Spanish and want to improve their speaking, vocabulary, and confidence. Whether your child is learning Spanish as a second language or growing up in a Spanish-speaking family, my goal is to help them enjoy the language and feel proud of their progress.
