About Maria

Hi! I'm Maria Jose, but you can call me Majo or Maria. I'm 100% Mexican, a native Spanish speaker, and I've been speaking English since I was 11.
I love languages, discovering new cultures, and connecting with people from all over the world. That's why I want to help you discover that learning Spanish can be so much more than memorizing words and grammar rules.

My goal is to help you speak real Spanish, naturally and confidently. We'll practice everyday conversations, pronunciation, vocabulary, and the expressions Mexicans actually use in real life, not just the ones you'll find in textbooks!

My lessons will be tailored to your goals and learning pace. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning without fear. You don't have to be perfect to get started!
I'd love to help you build confidence, make friends, travel, and connect with people through the language.

You came for the Spanish, but you'll stay for the Mexican chisme
I hope to see you so soon! ️

About the lesson

I hold an IELTS certification and have a dual-degree university background, with UNITEC and Torrens University AUS, which has greatly strengthened my communication skills in both languages.

Although my focus is on teaching Spanish, I want to use my own experience learning and using English to better understand the challenges students face when learning a new language.

My teaching approach focuses on dynamic, practical, and personalized lessons tailored to each student's level, interests, and goals. I want you to learn Spanish through real-life conversations, everyday vocabulary, and cultural expressions, all in a relaxed environment where you can make mistakes, learn, and build confidence! Let's make it fun!
