About Katherine
Hi! My name is Katherine, and I am a dedicated student at Chapman University minoring in Spanish. Growing up in a bilingual household as a native Spanish speaker, language has always been a core part of my identity and daily life. My passion for Spanish led me to earn a top score of 5 on the AP Spanish Language exam, and I love passing that confidence on to others.
Outside of my studies, I am deeply involved in working with students. I have spent years tutoring peers and younger students, working as a teacher assistant, and even assistant coaching youth sports teams. Working with kids and teenagers taught me that no two learners are the same, patience, empathy, and encouragement are key to making real progress.
When I am not tutoring or in class, I enjoy spending time with my family, helping my three younger siblings with their studies, and staying active in my community. I know firsthand how intimidating learning a language or preparing for a big exam can be, so my goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel comfortable making mistakes, building skills, and reaching your full potential!
