About Maria Gemma
I am a native Spanish speaker and PhD Candidate at the University of Stirling. I am a literature and history enthusiast, and I love to learn new things and meet new people!
I moved to Scotland six years ago to pursue my goal of becoming a lecturer one day. In the meantime, I love sharing my passion for learning new languages and helping others achieve their goals.
I have been teaching both Spanish and English as foreign languages since I was 16 and have helped my students preppare for language proficiency exams with excellent results.

Hola/ Hello! Let's get started with your Spanish lessons! Whether you're a begginer or advanced, we will tailor each session to suit your specific needs!
As a native Spanish speaker living and studying in Scotland for the last 6 years, I am perfectly bilingual. This qualifies me to teach at all levels and clearly explain some of the more tricky grammar and syntax.
I am passionate about teaching and have previous experience as a tutor, teaching both English and Spanish as foreign languages, with excellent results for my students.
I like my lessons to be fun and dynamic, no matter what your level is. In each session, we will learn new expressions, vocabulary and cultural facts through a series of activities designed to practise and develop various skills (reading/writing, listening or speaking) depending on your needs. My sessions usually last 1 hour, but depending on your goals we can discuss the duration and rate.
