About Jacob

I am a dual Mexican-American citizen living in San Francisco, CA with roots in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Like many Mexican-Americans I learned Spanish before English which greatly cemented my skills in the language. I lived in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2019 for a program through Oregon State University where I graduated with a minor in Spanish. Living in Ecuador gave me great exposure to a Spanish accent different than my own, widening my scope on the language.

I enjoy learning about all aspects of Hispano-America from the gastronomy, politics, culture, music and so on. I believe that knowledge in these fields greatly enhances the ability to speak and greater understand the language.

About the lesson

I believe speaking the language is the best way to learn it. Consistency is key when it comes to attaining fluency. Whether you want to be conversational for an upcoming trip to one of the 20 Spanish speaking countries or want to practice speaking to brush up on your skills, we can tailor a lesson plan that aligns with your goals in the Spanish language.
