About Ileana
I am a native Spanish speaker from the Dominican Republic, currently based in New York City. I earned a degree in Advertising from UNAPEC and completed an Interpretation and Translation Certificate at Hunter College. I also passed the New York State Unified Court System’s Spanish language interpreting examination.
My professional background has strengthened my communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. I understand that learning a new language can feel intimidating, so I strive to make every student feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged. I am patient, dependable, and genuinely excited to help adults develop practical Spanish skills and greater confidence in their communication.

We will practice conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and grammar through practical, real-life situations. I provide a patient, welcoming environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without pressure. Lessons are available online and will progress at a pace that works for you.
