About Jennifer

Hello! I’m Jennifer, a native Spanish speaker from Spain, bilingual in Spanish and English, and based in London Bridge. I’ve been teaching since 2019 and hold a BA (Hons).

Alongside teaching Spanish, I’m a professional actress and acting coach. This background brings creativity and practical communication skills into my lessons, particularly when working on pronunciation, expression and the confidence to speak.

I teach children and adults, adapting each lesson to their experience, interests and goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to Spanish or hoping to join conversations with Spanish-speaking family and friends, we’ll build on what you already know and work steadily towards what matters to you.

My approach is friendly, patient and structured. I explain concepts clearly, give constructive feedback and create space for you to ask questions and make mistakes comfortably. Through conversation, role-play and engaging exercises, you’ll practise using Spanish in situations relevant to your life.

Having developed fluency in English myself, I understand the effort involved in learning another language—and how rewarding it feels when you can finally express yourself. My aim is to help you experience that progress, one conversation at a time.

Spanish Lessons Tailored to You – Learn with Confidence!

Lesson Prices & Locations

- **In-person lessons at my home (London Bridge): £65/hour**
- **Online lessons: £60/hour**
- **Lessons at your home: From £70/hour + travel expenses**

**Travel fees:**
- Within 30 minutes' walking distance of Walworth: £20 return trip.
- For locations further away, travel fees are calculated at £10 per 30 minutes of total travel time, including both the journey to your home and the return journey.

All travel costs will be confirmed before booking.

My Teaching Approach

Whether you're a complete beginner, looking to improve your conversational Spanish, preparing for an exam or simply wanting to become more confident speaking the language, my lessons are designed around **you, your goals and your learning style.**

As a native Spanish speaker, experienced educator and professional actress, I combine structured language teaching with creative, interactive exercises that make learning Spanish practical, engaging and enjoyable.

I believe that the best way to learn a language is to **use it, experience it and enjoy the process!**

What Can You Expect From My Lessons?

**1. Personalised Learning Plan**

Our first session focuses on understanding your current level, interests, strengths and goals. From there, I'll create a personalised learning plan tailored to your needs, whether you're learning for school, work, travel or personal development.

**2. Speaking & Conversation Practice**

You'll be encouraged to speak Spanish from the very beginning. Through guided conversations, storytelling and interactive activities, we'll develop your confidence, fluency and ability to communicate naturally.

**3. Vocabulary & Grammar**

From everyday expressions and essential vocabulary to more advanced grammar and sentence structures, we'll build your knowledge progressively, ensuring you understand how to use what you've learned.

**4. Pronunciation & Accent Coaching**

Drawing on my professional acting and voice-training experience, I'll help you improve your pronunciation, articulation, rhythm and intonation so you can communicate more clearly and confidently.

**5. Listening & Comprehension**

We'll use authentic Spanish conversations, audio recordings, songs and film clips to develop your listening skills and familiarise you with how Spanish is spoken in real-life situations.

**6. Reading & Writing**

We'll strengthen your reading comprehension, spelling, sentence structure and written expression through age-appropriate texts, creative writing and practical exercises.

**7. Creative & Interactive Learning**

Forget monotonous lessons! I incorporate games, role-play, storytelling, improvisation and situational exercises to make learning memorable and fun.

My background in acting allows me to bring a particularly creative approach to language learning, helping students overcome shyness and become more expressive speakers.

**8. Real-Life Communication**

Want to order food in Spain, navigate a new city, prepare for a job interview or communicate with Spanish-speaking friends and colleagues? We'll practise realistic scenarios relevant to your everyday life.

**9. Spanish Culture & Traditions**

Learning Spanish is about more than memorising vocabulary. We'll also explore Spanish culture, traditions, expressions and everyday life, giving you a deeper understanding of the language and its cultural context.

**10. Homework & Continuous Progress**

I'll provide personalised homework, vocabulary lists and additional learning resources to reinforce what we cover in class.

Every 10 sessions, we'll review your development, celebrate your achievements and identify the next steps towards your goals.

Detailed Feedback After Every Lesson

One of the things that makes my teaching approach different is the structured feedback and follow-up support I provide.

After each lesson, you'll receive a personalised email including:
