About Maria

I am passionate about teaching and genuinely enjoy helping students develop their Spanish language skills. I love sharing not only my knowledge of Spanish, but also the richness, diversity, and beauty of Spanish-speaking cultures. My goal is to create engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable lessons that inspire students to communicate with confidence and develop a deeper appreciation for the Spanish language and its cultural background.

About the lesson

I am a native Spanish teacher with 10 years of experience in the Irish education system and I am registered with the Teaching Council. I have taught students of all levels and ages, including secondary school students, Junior Cycle (JC) and Leaving Certificate (LC) students, university students and adults.

My teaching methodology is tailored to each student’s individual needs, preferences and goals. Whether you want to improve your grammar, develop your speaking skills, prepare for exams, gain confidence in Spanish or simply improve your overall language skills, I adapt my lessons to suit you. I have experience working with students with different learning styles, abilities and objectives.

My lessons are supportive, engaging and structured, with a strong focus on communication, accuracy and confidence. I use a variety of activities and resources to make lessons practical and enjoyable while ensuring steady progress.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on the student’s needs and preferences. Adults and university students are more than welcome, as are learners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students.
