About Kate
I am a TEFL-qualified teacher of English as a foreign language, with over a decade of experience working with children, teenagers and adults in schools and language academies across France and Spain. I have taugh one-to-one, in groups, in the classroom and online, and have supported students through language exams such as IELTS. I am currently offering online classes in order to reach students in different parts of the world, who would like to develop their English for work, education or travel.
I currently live in London, where I work as a tutor at a university and at a community centre. My educational background is in the arts, and I hold an MA in History of Art from the University of York. I am a devoted learner of languages myself, and recently passed the DALF C1 exam in French, and the DELE C1 exam in Spanish. I take great pleasure in improving my French and Spanish every day, and am now learning German and Italian. I understand the challenges, frustrations and satisfaction of studying a new language, and endeavour to reflect this in my lessons.

Whether you're preparing for an exam, improving your professional English, or just looking to boost your confidence, I’ll create fully tailored lessons to help you achieve your goals. I am offering one-hour lessons online, with the option of homework. I am currently only accepting adult students as learners. If you already have some knowledge of English, lessons will be conducted entirely in English. If you are a complete beginner, I am able to offer instruction in French and Spanish.
