About Bindu
I am a native speaker from the United States who has always been passionate about education. I started my career as a mathematics teacher, but I fell in love with learning languages and teaching them! I continued by getting my Master's and then PhD in Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages. I became an Academic Director and later a Center Director for an English language school that provided instruction to international students from around the world. Throughout my career, I have developed English language teachers to better prepare their students and trained English language students to be confident in using the English language.

I have a very student-centered teaching approach and my lessons will always be planned with my students' needs in mind. I believe that communication is central to every lesson, so after acquiring new vocabulary or grammar, I will be sure to have you use it in authentic conversations. I have taught all levels of English proficiency and my experience teaching diverse students from many language backgrounds means I'm well equipped to handle pronunciation challenges that language transference from the L1 may provide.
