About Giuseppe

I am a trusted and established teacher of Italian as a foreign language. With years of experience in tailoring individual lessons and learning plans. I currently teach group lessons in an adult education centre and a private language school. When I accept a student, I work with them in understanding their learning needs and wishes, cultural background, and previous language knowledge. This allows me to be best at service for the individual learner. Together with the first full session, a detailed learning programme is presented to the student and discussed, also in itinere. I use a mix of different methods, all towards the goals of the student. Usually a communicative approach is the most suited: a focus on real-life language input and speaking skills. Should a student with a more culture-oriented path or work towards a language certificate goal, I would be equally equipped for it and glad to help. About the lesson

Gentile studente, Let me give you a taste of what my lessons are about... Real-life language presented in a refreshing and fun way. Adapting to the individual desires and needs of the student, I programme engaging and fruitful sessions, based on the most advanced teaching methods. Multimedia and games play a big role, as much as interaction and communication practice. After presenting the language input (reading, listening, video, images with captions...), comprehension activity will take place. The student is guided through a process of "induction": from the language input, we will together extrapolate the meaning of the unknown words as much as the structures of the language (grammar) and cultural aspects. The following phase is one of structuring what has been "naturally" learnt and consolidation of the just acquired knowledge. Originally a classical musician, I have been coaching in Italian for about 10 years. I have obtained a Ditals Certificate by the Università per Stranieri di Siena in 2020, which qualifies for teaching Italian as a Foreign Language. I am looking forward to making your acquaintance!
